earn 250 delta mqms from hilton stays promo

Once again Hilton has brought back a nice way, through December 20, 2014, to earn a few more MQMs to get you where you need to be. You can earn MAX 10k MQMs but that would mean a LOT of 2 day stay credits to get that many points. There are some “gotcha” T&C bits you must be aware of if you are going to go for these MQMs. They are:

“To be eligible for this offer, you must (1) select Delta Air Lines as your preferred Double Dip® Points & Miles Partner in your Hilton HHonors account profile, (2) complete a minimum 2-night stay at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio from October 6, 2014 through December 20, 2014, and (3) register online at HHonors.com/DELTAMQM prior to check-out. You must be a Hilton HHonors member to earn Points and Miles for hotel stays. Bonus Delta Mileage: For qualifying stays at Home2 Suites by Hilton™ hotels, earn 1 bonus mile for every US dollar spent up to 100 bonus miles per qualifying stay + 250 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs). For all other Hilton Worldwide brands, earn 1 bonus mile for every US dollar spent on a qualifying stay + 250 MQMs. A maximum of 10,000 MQMs can be earned through this offer. Offer void where prohibited by law. Offer subject to change without notice.” – Hilton.com

Now before you register at the official link, I would log in to your Hilton account and make sure you are setup with your preferences for “Double Dip® Points & Miles Partner in your Hilton HHonors account profile”. How do you do that? Simple:

make sure your setting are correct to earn delta mqms with hilton promo

As you can see this is where you need to go and click on. Once you are there you go to the next page and make sure you see the below:

make sure your setting are correct to earn delta mqms with hilton promo step two

Then you can save and check you are all set (and maybe check your other preferences while you are there as well).

I will not be going for any of these MQMs as I will end the year, thanks to kinda overbooking a few DeltaMileageRuns, with almost 275,000 MQMs (yeah me)! Plus, I am all-in again this year to keep my SPG Platinum status (having my SPG AMEX card did help that gave me 2 stay credits). I will, as soon as I meet the 25k spend on my Delta AMEX Reserve card to be MQD exempt in JAN2015, have my Diamond Medallion status until 1FEB2017. Plus, I will have a 25k MQM start on my qualifying for my 2017 Medallion year should I want to do that (much depends on what we see next from Delta).

Please NOW look at your numbers. I really hate it when readers in a panic e-mail me asking what they can do the last week of December to keep their status or reach some goal and I have to tell them the only real choice is buying MQMs from Delta at a price that makes you want to reach for an air sickness bag! – René

The cheapest room I can find in the metro Detroit area is $71 per night, which translates into 56¢ per MQM – WAY, WAY too costly for a “mattress run” for MQMs.

@Mark – This is more for when you are going to stay anyway. At least that is my take.

Hi Rene…have a question about SDC. How do I get a confirmed seat on an earlier flight when making same day change. Sky Club agent and Diamond help-desk would only put me on stand-by for a seat. GA cleared upgrade list first and stand-by list after. No chance for first even though there were 17 open FC seats. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Hi Rene…I did call Diamond Medallion line and was told they could not confirm my seat and get me on upgrade list…only GA could do it. Should I just keep calling different Diamond Medallion line agents?
