If you have not booked a ticket for a few days on Delta.com you are in for some new graphics changes to the home page. As you can see from the simple book a trip tab there are more choices!
Then once you do pull up the flights there are new graphics and it is much simpler to see the direct vs the connection flights. Plus there is a new very simple and quick start over icon – I really like this one!
Then in the advanced search you have some new choices as well similar to the home page one and some new ones for up to a 5 week view on fares.
This is MUCH simpler and a more clear view compared to the old one that often, depending on your browser or device, could show very strange tables and made it hard to see the price etc.
I am most impressed at first glance at these changes in both look and function. You will have to give them a try and see what you think.
Lastly, with no “public” link about some changes coming to the super cheap-O E-Class fares from Delta a.k.a. that they will not get medallion upgrades for travel after 1FEB2015. Now I really really really HATE E-Class fares and for a few bucks will never book them due to all the restrictions to this super cheap fare (and I am about as cheap as they come). If this proves to be true it would be the proverbial nail in the coffin for this fare EVER to be booked by a medallion – EVER! – René

Dumb delta web site wouldn’t even let me see the award calendar. Kept erroring back to just showing one days worth of flights. They really need to reinvest some profits into their IT.
