It looks like there was no bomb but just a nut case this morning as first reported at BA by Points Miles & Martinis. According to USA today these are the facts so far:
“The man was taken into custody after speaking with police negotiators and he turned out not to have any explosives. But operations at the airport — one of Europe’s busiest aviation hubs — were seriously disrupted as two terminals were quickly evacuated but only slowly reopened. Rob van Kapel, a spokesman for the military police, said the suspect does not present any further danger.” – USA Today”
So what does that mean for you? There could be some great “bumportunities” coming up tomorrow if you fly in and out of AMS as I am sure all the flights will be either 100% sold out or over sold. – René
