A bizarre scene is unfolding at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) in Romulus, Michigan, tonight.
Footage shared on social media appears to show a Mercedes-Benz automobile crashed into a Delta Air Lines check-in counter.

It sounds like the person being escorted out of the area is yelling something about “They’re not downstairs!”
We don’t yet know if he’s the person who drove the Benz into the departures area. Comments on social media indicate the purported driver is from Florida. (Hey, maybe he’s not used to the icy roads? Or…) A source tells us some people sustained minor injuries. (Thank goodness that’s — hopefully — the extent of it.)
According to WXYZ, “Witnesses say they heard a loud noise as the car slammed through the entrance and into the Delta desk as employees were working. A witness says the driver got out of the vehicle with his hands raised and talking, though it’s unclear what the driver was saying.”
