This morning, a bomb dating from the second World War was found at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. As a precaution, all gates on C pier, and some gates on D pier have been closed. This means that all European KLM flights to and from Amsterdam today have been delayed or cancelled.

Option 1: change your travel dates

You need to have rebooked no later than Friday 31 August 2012
Your new flight should depart no later than Sunday 2 September 2012 – the original minimum duration of stay is the same.
You can change your destination free of charge, but you may need to pay the difference if changing to a higher fare type. You will have to travel in the same travel class.
Option 2: change your destination
You can change your destination, by exchanging the value of your ticket(s) for new KLM, AIR FRANCE or Delta Air Lines tickets:

This does not seem like innocent coincidence
This is pure speculation, but I assume it was unearthed by construction crews. It seems incredibly unlikely that a terrorist would get a hold of a three-quarter century old device and try to use it.
