I hope you’re having a great weekend wherever you are! This is the second weekend of what is colloquially known as Award Season: the period that runs from the first Hollywood award show of the New Year through the Academy Awards. I worked the Critics Choice Awards last weekend. I was especially happy to see The Studio, The Pitt, Frankenstein, and Adolescence pick up big wins. All three are fantastic. There are a lot of especially great nominees — especially in the TV and acting categories — this year. Nikki Glaser — one of my favorite comedians — hosts the Golden Globes on Sunday night. I’m usually so busy working during the live broadcast that I miss all the good jokes and end up watching a replay in the middle of the night!
