If you’ve ever wanted a job traveling the world and documenting your experiences, there are one million reasons today could be your lucky day.
Our friends at Rove Miles are hiring a “Global Adventure Officer.” The person who gets hired will receive one million Rove Miles and a travel stipend to “travel the world with as much freedom as they desire.”
Your responsibilities? “Enjoy the adventure and document it along the way with photos, videos, and other social media posts.”
In a press release, Rove said, “The ideal candidate is an adventurous spirit with a valid passport, a passion for travel, and a willingness to embrace new experiences.”
Applications are open now through October 9. You can learn more here.
Rove Miles is a new platform that combines a travel booking service with shopping portals. You can earn Rove Miles by shopping through partner merchants and also booking on Rove. Then apply the Rove Miles toward your airline and flight purchases or transfer them to one of their points/miles partners.
Let us know if you apply! (And good luck!)

This sounds so dumb.
First, 1,000,000 points is really not a lot. I could blow that all on a single flight and week at a luxury hotel. And if I do this, will I actually be paid? Will I be expected to actually “work” for Rover or is this simply a giveaway with the hope you post on social media? I clicked on the link but it did not reveal any additional (helpful) information. What am I missing here?
So I shouldn’t write you a recommendation letter?
Haha touche! I just want to know more that’s all (not from you necessarily but from Rove).
Hey! You absolutely could blow that all in a week if you’d like, but we’d encourage you not to. For reference, we crafted a sample itinerary that included 70 nights, long-haul business class flights, 8 nights in an overwater villa in the Maldives at half board, and a complete journey around the world. The total cost was 700,000 Rove Miles.
That’s the beauty of being both a flexible reward currency and an in-house travel portal. While spending 100k Marriott Bonvoy points per night for the St. Regis Maldives is something you could do, you could also choose to opt for a five star, non-chain property for a fraction of the cost.
As for the work you’ll need to do: You take pictures and videos and make posts. You get a million miles and a travel stipend to cover costs. It’s a pretty good tradeoff if you ask us.
We wrote about the offer too: https://www.rovemiles.com/blog/dream-job
