Several hotel credit cards debuted some late-summer welcome offers last week — and a quartet of others expire in the coming days.
So, let’s get everyone caught up to speed — especially if you’re getting itchy for some bonus points and want to add a card or two to your miles and points arsenal!
NEW: Marriott Bonvoy® American Express Card Welcome Offers
All three of Marriott’s cobranded American Express Cards introduced some pretty decent welcome offers last week. The personal/consumer card offers are valid for a few weeks; the business card promotion runs into October.
Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card: Earn 185,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy® points after you spend $6,000 in eligible purchases on the card within the first six (6) months of being approved for card membership. This offer expires on September 24, 2025. (Terms Apply.)
Marriott Bonvoy Bevy® American Express® Card: Earn 155,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy® bonus points after you spend $5,000 in eligible purchases on the card within the first six (6) months of being approved for card membership. This offer expires on September 24, 2025. (Terms apply.)
Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card: Earn 125,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points after you spend $8,000 in eligible purchases within the first six (6) months of being approved for card membership. This offer expires on October 22, 2025. (Terms apply.)
Marriott card welcome offers come with a ton of eligibility exclusions — like, if you held Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) Amex cards (may they rest in points)! That said, Amex is pretty good about telling you during the application process if you’re eligible for a welcome offer.
If you’re a Marriott enthusiast, I think the Bonvoy Brilliant Amex is probably your best bet because the primary cardholders receives complimentary Platinum elite status and a Free Night Award starting the second of membership. The Free Night Award is worth up to 85,000 points. The $300 Bonvoy Dining Credit allows you to earn up $25 each month for eligible purchases at restaurants worldwide. That’s very easy to earn. Keep in mind that Marriott is now an MGM Resorts partner — which is great news if you’re a Vegas fan.
EXPIRING SOON: Hilton Honors American Express Cards
The Hilton Amex promotions are packing their bags and getting ready to check out. The Hilton Amex cards don’t currently have the “family” language plaguing, well, most other American Express flavors.

Honestly, the Hilton Aspire Amex is the one I like best. The Diamond status benefit and Hilton resort credits are very good. I hit my Amex card quantity limit a long time ago and can’t get the card. But friends I know hold the card really like it and think it’s easily worth the $550 annual fee (Rates and Fees).
Again, considering that the Hilton cards don’t have the family language restriction, this is a great opportunity to load up on Hilton Honors points.
