One of the Marriott credit cards brought back its best-ever welcome promotion that can help you score five free nights at some pretty decent properties.

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card awards new members five (5) Free Nights after they spend $5,000 in eligible purchases within three (3) months of being approved for the card. Each Free Night is worth up to 50,000 points. So, you can max out the promotion at up to 250,000 points. (You can learn more here about the Chase Marriott cards and how to apply.)

Boundless® Card
I’ve held the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card for several years, primarily because of its annual Free Night. Cardmembers receive a Free Night award starting the second year of membership. It’s valued at up to 35,000 points. But if you find a night priced at 50,000 points or less, you’re still in luck. You can apply up to 15,000 Bonvoy points to make up the difference.
The card earns 3X Bonvoy points per dollar spent on gas stations, grocery stores, and dining — up to the first $6,000 spent in combined purchases each year.
Nothing stellar but it’s slightly better than the 2X points all other non-bonused purchases earn.
The card also features:
- Up to 17X per dollar spent at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels
- 2X on non-bonused purchases
- Free anniversary night (starting year two of card membership) redeemable at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels valued at 35,000 points or under
- 15 elite status night credits
- Complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status
- $95 annual fee
$95 annual fee for a card awarding you one night at a 35,000 point property is certainly decent.
No Annual Fee Card with a Good Welcome Offer
If that $95 annual fee really turns you off but you still want to get in on some action, you can have some fun with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Card. That card’s promotion offers 60,000 bonus points PLUS one Free Night after you spend $2,000 on eligible purchases within three (3) months of being approved. The Bold’s Free Night is worth up to 50,000 bonus points. (Learn here how to apply for this promotion.)
That’s a pretty darn good welcome offer for a no-annual-fee card.
The card earns 3X Bonvoy points per dollar spent on gas stations, grocery stores, and dining — up to the first $6,000 spent in combined purchases each year.
Nothing stellar but it’s slightly better than the 2X points all other non-bonused purchases earn.
The card features:
- Earn up to 14X per dollar spent at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels
- Earn 2X at grocery stores
- Earn 2X on rideshare and select food delivery
- Earn 2X on select streaming, and internet, cable, and phone service purchases
- Earn 1X on all other non-bonused purchases
- $0 annual fee
There are no annual Free Night awards or complimentary elite status with the Bold Card.
Happy earning and staying!

Can these 50k nights be topped off with the 15k to book up to 65k per night awards?
Hi, Christian. I didn’t see anything in the terms saying they can.
