Capital One Venture X personal/consumer and business card members will soon lose direct access to Plaza Premium Group airport lounges. But it’s not all doom and gloom.
Capital One Venture X Cards Losing Direct Access to Plaza Premium Group Lounges
Starting March 1, 2025, Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business holders won’t have complimentary access to Plaza Premium Group network airport lounges.
Huh? you might wonder. But aren’t Capital One Lounges themselves operated by Plaza Premium?
Yep. And that is kind of a head-scratcher.
But most Plaza Premium lounges remain part of the Priority Pass Select membership that comes with Capital One Venture X and Capital One Venture X Business cards.
Long story short: on March 1, Capital One cards themselves no longer get you into Plaza Premium lounges. But you’ll still be able to visit most Plaza Premium lounges with your Priority Pass Select membership.

Unless I’m missing something, there are only a few lounges in the Western Hemisphere impacted by the change, with the vast majority of the lounges excluded lounges in China. Just a guess that this wasn’t a super valuable perk to most Venture X card holders and probably not worth Capital One’s money to preserve this access.
Capital One has terrible customer service. They just got fined hundreds of millions of dollars for defrauding their customers.
That hasn’t been my experience at all. They answer their lines always and quickly and have given me a lot of perks.
