The majority of voters just voted for a President that doesn’t support unions. Where does Sara Nelson get the idea that the public is now more supportive of unions? Delta doesn’t need unions any more than we do where I work. When you can’t connect to a web conference when flying even just to listen, you can thank Sara Nelson and her union for that. Their only interest is in themselves.
Ha! A couple of corrections: The majority of voters cast ballots for someone other than the crazy orange Nazi this time around, but it did get more votes than the Democratic candidate. Also, it doesn’t matter much how the public supports unions; it’s how many Delta FAs sign their union cards that matters most. Also, too, the Delta FAs that I know have seen their working conditions get significantly worse over the last several years and that, even more than pay, is what’s motivating them to sign their union cards. Finally, I don’t see how the FA union influences on-board wi-fi connections; can you connect the dots for me?
Also, regarding your statement “it doesn’t matter much how the public supports unions” – I only brought this up because she said “The big change today is that we have a positive view of unions in the public”. Even if you believe the polls are accurate, the most recent one showed a drop in support.
Slight correction: it wasn’t the most recent one, but the one before. Even so, according to these polls the unions have always had a positive view, and the approval percentage hasn’t changed much over the years. Anyway, I don’t need the AFA dictating how my preferred airline, which I like most of the time, does business.
