January 2022 we launched, for the first time ever, a cruise focused blog on BoardingArea.com! This was my second blog launched on “BA” and my and my fellow authors goal was to have a site all about those, like me, who can not wait for our favorite cruise, that is, as we all say – the “next one”. For the past year and a half we have posted almost every day and have been very proud of what we have shared with you our dear readers.
But it is time for a move.
Chris Carley and I have had a great relationship blogging now for many many years. We both have been putting full effort to make both our sites enjoyable to visit but the result has been a lot of duplication of work including one of the greatest (and least favorite) parts of being a blogger – that is, compliance with our affiliates! The duplication has become too much.
Thus it is time for us to steer a new course.
Starting as of this weekend (as long as we don’t have a “CS” IT moment that is) you will find all of the Frequent Floaters posts at their new home on EyeOfTheFlyer.com!
Wait what? So what changes?
Really not very much other than a one stop blog for all your travel needs clearly including air, hotels and cruises. Your favorite writers here on Frequent Floaters will still post each month as they have in the past but now on Eye of the Flyer instead.
What about the daily news letter?
Glad you asked. Eye of the Flyer, like Frequent Floaters, also sends out a 1x a day news letter and your subscription will transfer to that site. You will still see, each day, cruise focused posts with the only change being that you may receive it a bit later in the day in your in-box.

I’m confused. Was this a voluntary but necessary thing due to administrative time it takes to manage affiliates, or did affiliates force you to combine under some interpretation of your contracts/fine print with them?
