I’m still thinking about last weekend’s Chicago Seminars at the Delta Marriott in Willowbrook. It was so fun! A big shoutout to Paula, Sai, and Bob at that property. Your customer service was fantastic. Thank you.
We all returned to a crazy week, didn’t we?
If you like travel credit card rewards and can stomach a long game, this welcome offer might be very well worth it.
Delta finally announced updates to its SkyMiles 2025 program. Frankly, I kind of like them — even though slashing unlimited visits for Delta Reserve cardholders is still gross.
Many of us had questions about the updates — and a Delta spokesperson answered them.
René offered his aptly titled “snarky rant.” (This comes on the heels of his visit to the Shanty Creek Golf Resort Bellaire.)
A Delta spokesperson answered a bunch of questions we had about the SkyMiles updates.
We found a pretty good mileage run to Honolulu.
Can you believe it? LAX is finally a 20th-century airport. All its terminals are now connected post-security — including Delta terminals 2 and 3 to the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
We’re going to talk about mileage runs first thing Monday morning. See you then!

Did Delta improve the partner mileage credit that got reduced when Delta announced those awful recent program devaluations? I can’t find where they improved anything on that front and it’s super consequential to those of us who utilize Sky Team partners for points/status credit.
@Dre B – No walk backs. Just cuts! 🙁
This post has made some serious waves in the points and miles community and NOWHERE has Delta publicly confirmed any of this info. Are you 100% certain that the “Delta Representative” with whom you spoke has the authority to answer these questions. A lot of people are needing to make decisions based on this info (specifically, whether to chase status between now and 12/31), so it’d be nice to get some info about reliability.
“Are you 100% certain that the ‘Delta Representative’ with whom you spoke has the authority to answer these questions.”
Yes.
Helpful–thanks! Any idea why these critical answers (esp re choice benefits for status extension years) are not being added to the Delta website and/or FAQ? Sure would be nice to see it confirmed publicly soon.
Not sure. But keep in mind the September 13 announcement was supposed to be the September 14 announcement — before someone accidentally took it live for a brief period. So, it’s possible not everyone is aware.
