I popped by Delta Air Lines’ great T3 Sky Club airport lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) the other day before a flight. Work is coming along nicely on the club’s deck seating expansion project.
Just a few months ago, the west and east sides were cordoned off. All they featured were empty spaces. Apparently, obtaining permits was an issue (which shocks no one in Los Angeles!).

But everything is apparently shipshape and on track! Check out the couches and high back chairs being put in place.

A Delta source said the new seating areas will open this Thursday, June 1. Also debuting that day are additional seating areas inside the club (as we previously reported) as well as a kitchen on the lounge’s west side.

Looks good! I think the couches, although nice, won’t be able to fit several people because strangers don’t like to sit so close to each other if there is a full lounge.
