If you’re based in New York (or can get there), then you might want to roll the dice on this JFK to Las Vegas Delta mileage run!
The trip travels JFK-SEA-LAS-SEA-JFK. (The Seattle connections are the key). It’s a Main Cabin itinerary (but Medallions might be able to upgrade to first class with Upgrade Certificates or pure luck.) Delta says you’ll earn 9,862 MQM and $333 MQD (plus at least 1,110 redeemable SkyMiles). And it’s reasonably priced at $278.80. Thanks to Delta’s Status Accelerator, that comes out to 2.8 cents per MQM!
I didn’t see a ton of dates available. But I found one for December 7.
You have a pretty short layover in Vegas. In fact, you ride the same plane for both legs between SEA and LAS. There are a couple of longer layovers in Seattle. So hopefully you have one of these Delta Amex cards that get you into the wonderful Seattle Sky Club!
