Need to scoop up some MQM at a decent price? How about in Delta One during an overnight mileage run from JFK to Bogota?
Because Delta is awarding 75% MQM, MQS, and MQD bonuses on premium cabin trips flown during the rest of 2021, this JFK-ATL-BOG-JFK run should yield 13,994 MQM and $763 MQD. The price is just $561.75. That comes out to about 4.0 CPM.
The JFK to ATL leg is scheduled to operate on an A330-300. So you’ll get great seats, although no Delta One service/experience (#FirstWorldProblems).
The flights to/from Bogota are aboard 767-300s. Those D1 seats aren’t quite as comfy as the A330’s — but better than sitting in coach.
Our sample trip departs on Friday, November 5 — but there are a few other available dates. Check out this Google Flights link to get started.
The US State Department says Columbia no longer requires a negative COVID-19 test in order to enter the country. (Yes, I know the page says “Do not travel” because of COVID. But if you’re vaccinated and wear a mask, hey…)
Keep in mind the US might still require a negative COVID-19 test before you board your flight to return to the States. (You should be able to get this done in the US a day or so before your trip starts.)
I didn’t see any comparable AeroMexico trips. Sorry.
If you’d prefer a different mileage run, give a holler to our friends at Juicy Miles. They can create some absolutely crazy (in a fun way) multi-city trips — and help you with things like COVID testing, layover hotels, and more.
