A now-former Disney employee says he was fired from the Mouse House for drinking water from a Disney Springs fountain. Oh, and he posted it to TikTok.
Plus, people falling in love on airplanes is apparently more common than you may think.
Those are some of today’s travel headlines I thought you, too, may find interesting.
A Disney Drinking Game
Fox News reports that a TikTokker named “showmelovejete” (real name: “Jason”?) claims to have been canned from Disney after posting footage of himself sampling water from various Disney Springs fountains.
[He] claimed to be employed at Disney World, recently posted videos of himself scooping up water from different fountains at Disney Springs and then tasting them from his reusuable water bottle. He then rated each fountain’s water before proceeding to spit it out, the video purports to show.
The clip, which was shared to social media last week, has been viewed nearly 7 million times as of Monday afternoon.
COVID-19 safety rules were apparently a concern (no kidding). And I’m guessing Disney — ever-concerned about its employees behavior — wouldn’t have approved of the stunt even during non-pandemic times.
