This is nuts. I would not want to spend this much time in coach and it is a vacation run as you must stay a bunch of days in Hong Kong! But the numbers are just a crazy. You can, via this FT thread, look at a bunch of starting airports and drive the price well below 4CPM and get a stupid amount of Skymiles on top of the MQMs. Here are the numbers from MIA!
Cost $671
19,447 MQMs at 3.45 CPM
Bookable on Delta.com
Be sure to use this switch to search Matrix: dl+ /f bc=v
DM yields a HUGE 43,757 Skymiles per CWSI.net!
Again, I am still complaining about my 8-9 hours in coach each way on my last run. This would be WOW and be sure you count the hotel costs as well! Short of some medallion level? This could sure put you over the top.
EDIT: There seems to be MANY more cities you can use so search near your home town too!

I did the last one positioning from NYC to Toronto. Stayed in Hong Kong Thursday through Tuesday AM. It was a LONG time in coach but worth the trip. Hong Kong is Great! MAcau is only an hour away by ferry.
If you watch your seats closely you can generally get an empty seat next to you which makes the trip a lot easier to handle in coach. I was lucky and had EC both ways with empty seat next to me. There usually rows in the back with empty seats unless the plane is completely full.

What is the “/f bc=v” part of the “dl+ /f bc=v” advanced routing switches for Matrix? I don’t see it in their syntax key. Thanks for all your hard work!
