Given that today is Inauguration Day here in the United States, I thought it appropriate to share a couple of videos I discovered the other day.
The first details the Boeing C-32 (a modified 757) that frequently ferries the Vice President of the United States. It also flies the President of the United States to some airports whose runways might not be able to accommodate the VC-25 (a modified 747) that the Commander in Chief usually rides.

The second movie of our Presidential Aircraft Double Feature is about the helicopters that serve as Marine One and Marine Two.

Not a very impressive analysis. Why wouldn’t the VP simply use a C-17 that meets all the requirements he lists?

Thank you for sharing the video about Marine 1, It was nice to see inside. I got to see Marine 1 landing and taking off as a guest a couple of years ago, when some White House volunteers were invited to the gardens to see the former President leaving for a trip, It was an experience of a lifetime.
Very cool! I distinctly remember being stuck on a flyover ramp on the 405-10 interchange in LA when then-President Obama flew overhead in a trio of choppers. It was annoying to have an extra half-hour tagged on to my commute — yet very special at the same time. It’s something I’ll never forget it.
I flew C-20s, Gulfstream III and IV, at Andrews when they acquired the 757s. They considered 767s but thought it would look excessive spending tax dollars on a wide body. Those planes are not just used for VP, SecState, SecDef, Congressional delegations (CODELS) and others all use them. Boeing still has the 767 line running for the KC-46 tanker. How about a 767 option? BTW the AF 757s have extra range over most 757s due to the addition of extra belly fuel tanks. Due to convoluted budgeting/acquisition rules the fuel tanks were not added in the initial build. The AF took delivery of the planes, then immediately sent them back to have the fuel tanks installed using maintenance budget money, instead of it showing up in the initial acquisition budget.
