Buckle up for this one!
René and I are in contact pretty much every day. Often, it’s several times (usually when we’re sharing pictures of whatever we’re grilling or sipping. Or I want to brag up the gorgeous weather here in Southern California.)
But the man was downright freaking out this afternoon. I could sense his enthusiasm from 2200 miles away.
Like, I wondered if he bought a new smoker or something. Maybe he discovered a great Pinot Noir or Merlot.
No, no.
He’s pumped about a belt. “best belt EVER” he wrote. (I expect he’ll send me one as a “Best Boss Ever” gift. Right, René? 😉 )
And because he, you, and I share most of the same interests, I figured you’d like to know about it, too!
He loves this Kolti men’s dress belt with a click buckle. It’s a ratchet belt that provides an exact fit — no more fiddling with loops that are too tight or too loose. And it’s less than seven bucks. (He bought five more after the first one arrived.)
So if you need a new, versatile belt for your travel stash — or everyday wardrobe — maybe give this one a shot. Or if there’s someone in your life who needs a new men’s belt, this could make a nice gift.
There are all sorts of colors and sizes available.

I would suggest – given that this is a travel related blog – perhaps a belt from Beep Free Products might better suit. (I’m not related to the site – other than I’ve bought a couple of their belts).
The beauty of their belts – is the functionality….the buckles are made of a super hard plastic – so you can go through security without taking off your belt. Very practical for travel through airports! It’s been my everyday belt for at least 2 or 3 years…no issues with the buckle standing up to everyday use.
Just an alternative to consider…
Rene
Thank You
Have used the nonleather ratchet belts (especially the reversible kind) in travel, but they are best for more sedentary cruise trips and dress ups rather than active travel and during transit. Nonleather ratchet belts tend to break/pull apart over time with stress. I find the all nylon Thomas Bates standard or money belts better for active travel, similar in design to what Mike uses.
