Oh my. This is crazy to me. I can not dream of doing this one. But, if you did these over 3 weekends in November you would just about be Platinum Medallion with Delta (after you meet the MQD spend or exempt spend that is). Plus, the Skymiles you get are HUGE. If you do this one, please spend time getting a massage along the way as you will need it with this insane amount of time in coach! Here are the numbers:
Cost $878
24,246 MQMs at 3.6 CPM
Bookable on Delta.com via ATL & AMS both ways
DM yields a CRASY 54,544 Skymiles per CWSI.net!
If you happen to have some GU certs this could maybe be worth a shot (to me anyway) but then look at the direct ATL-AMS and give up some points for comfort. Anyone game for this one? I would love to know!

You can get insane miles like this between Hawaii/Alaska and Caribbean/Latin America too, but with complimentary upgrades.
@Al – yes, I agree! 🙂 But the bumpertunies are big and paid out in EUROs!

If I hadn’t already burned some credits with Delta on upcoming MR’s I would do this for sure. No way I would actually PAY to fly it though…:)

If I could find a GU to use for one direction I would totally do this trip.
Can a PM/MM use a GU? THe one year I was DM they did not have them so I’m not sure if that is even possible.
@Stan – PM only get RU certs. You must be a DM to get the GU certs.

Thanks for this one, Rene. My wife and I got the tickets at $818, departing on the 8th and returning on the 17th, but we just chickened out (the timing really was bad).
Next time! 🙂
