A technical problem on Delta Air Lines’ Fly Delta app caused concerns of a possible data breach earlier today. The airline reassured us no breaches occurred.
Some users logged on to their accounts — and saw other passengers’ itineraries.
@Delta this is not me but it’s on my App! 😳 pic.twitter.com/U9uBKnFBeK

My social media searches found that the issue wasn’t widespread. It’s still slightly concerning, though.
Delta twitter reps suggested affected users delete and reinstall the Fly Delta app. I didn’t see any abnormalities on my end — but reinstalled the app just for safety. (The whole process of deleting, reinstalling, and logging back in took all of about a minute.)
A Delta spokesperson told Rene’s Points, “There has been no breach of any Delta system or our app. Delta teams this morning noticed a technical issue with a Fly Delta app notification, and quickly addressed it. We apologize to customers for any inconvenience. Customer safety, privacy and security remain our top priorities.”
