If you can escape for a few days in late April, here’s a very nice Las Vegas to Tokyo Delta Air Lines mileage run — in two of the mothership’s Premium Select planes!
The run currently prices at $894.45 and produces 17,392 MQM. That’s not terrible for a coach run — much less a premium economy trip that earns bonus miles!
The trip departs from Las Vegas on Thursday, April 23. You’ll stop in Los Angeles (after flying in Delta Comfort+) before heading to Haneda in a 777-200 Premium Select cabin.
Arrive Friday afternoon in Tokyo, where you’ll spend the night.
On Saturday, you’ll fly from Tokyo to Seattle in the A350’s Premium Select. From there, you’ll head down to LAX and end up in Vegas at 4:50 PM.
Here’s how it breaks down.
- Route: LAS-LAX-HND. Overnight in Tokyo. HND-SEA-LAX-LAS.
- Cost: $894.45 in C+ and Premium Economy
- MQM: 17,392 (5.1 CPM)
- MQD: $778
Many LAX international flights depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), so you’ll likely need to take the Delta shuttle bus to/from your Haneda flights. Allow 30 minutes, just to be safe.
Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Medallions: keep in mind you’re SkyTeam Elite Plus, so you and a guest have complimentary access to Delta Sky Clubs during this run, as it’s an international trip.

Booked two seats on this run, taking my daughter for her birthday. I was able to use global upgrades both ways putting both of us in Delta One making for a nice trip!
Any advice on where to stay the two nights we are there? I have points for all the chains and top tier status with them as well.
Thanks for digging these up for us!
@Doyl: My wife and I love IHG Strings hotel at Shinagawa. Great location and nice hotel. Have a great time!
