OK if you do this – you are crazy. Well either that or you are much more hard core MR’er than me or just want to get your Delta status match done in a hurry. Or, you are looking to be really short and want a bunch of miles quick. Or, you are a DM, going to use your GU certs on this, and will ride in BE the whole way (the only way I would even THINK of doing this one inspired from FD post). Anyway, look at this and the crazy numbers:
Cost $1,133 – EDIT: Reports are prices are $100 lower or more today!
20,321 MQMs at 5.5CPM
Bookable on Delta.com
DM yields an unbelievable 45,723 Skymiles per CWSI.net!
If anyone does this run, and wants to do a guest post on a reader Sunday post on DeltaPoints let me know. I will be happy to send you a TON of SWAG and more for the story – if you survive that is! 😉

Not really doing this as a MR, but looks like there’s relatively inexpensive fares from DCA-SYD around $1380, which I’m going to book for a vacation in Dec.
@Arthur – sweet looks like a win=win trip. Enjoy!

I couldn’t resist, having a $600 DL e-voucher from a recent bump that could pay for more than 50% of the already cheap fare. I booked CLT-SYD r/t for late September. It’ll be partly a MR, since it’ll help with getting over the GM threshold, and partly a quick trip to a new place (i’ll be there for a weekend, essentially).
@Aleks – sweet and fun! report back please how the trip went!
