The 10th Annual Chicago Seminars begins just four weeks from today!
Registration is still open. (From what I can tell, it’s about 2/3 sold out!) The three-day event costs $125. Saturday and Sunday lunch, as well as drink at a happy hour on Saturday evening, are included. Truly, the information you receive that weekend will very likely lead you to points and miles that more than make up for the registration fee. Here’s a list of who’s speaking about which topics.
As I wrote last month, the Chicago Seminars are perfect for anyone wanting to learn more or chat about points, miles, and travel. You won’t get laughed out of a room for not knowing what “5/24” means, or if you can’t tell Membership Rewards from Ultimate Rewards from Total Rewards.
In fact, if you’re scratching your head and thinking, What in the world is a “5/24” or which rewards program should I use? then you should book your registration and flights now!
Also, don’t be intimidated by some of the presentations or your fellow attendees. If someone amassed three million points in the blink of an eye and flew his or her extended family and their neighbors around the world for a week before visiting the International Space Station for a weekend — that doesn’t mean you have to. If your goals including taking your family to Disney World on the cheap or figure out how to save money on an awesome honeymoon, you’ll have ample opportunity.
I’ve met several lifelong friends at the Chicago Seminars and similar events. You probably will, too!
If you can’t find a room at the host hotel, check out this map of hotels in the area. Maybe you have some hotel credit card rewards or other travel credit card points you can redeem points for a free night at one and save some money.
Need some information? I posted sort of a Chicago Seminars Q & A last month. You can read Rene’s recaps of the 2015 and 2013 events.
Please post your questions or comments below! I hope to see you at the Chicago Seminars.

@olivia lewis: Here’s a link to the registration site.
Is there going to be a Thursday night dinner gathering by chance?
@Bear: I haven’t heard of one yet.
I’ve been to 8 of the 9 Chicago Seminars, and plan to attend this time also. Ours is a fast-moving always-changing hobby, and Chicago is the place to learn things that won’t be revealed in blogs.
