I finally did it. I finally flew an A380. Since Delta does not fly them I chose British Airways from London and their old, dense business class cabin configuration. How good (or bad) was it? I will be blogging about it soon but you can get a sneak peek here. For now now, let’s look back at the week that was:
With the heat of summer it seems we get some real “heat” with this week’s travel news stories that caught my attention as “click worthy” headlines:
I have an incredibly busy travel summer ahead of me and maybe you do as well. Are you going anywhere fun? If so, please comment below and what airline, cruise line or resorts (hotels) you plan to visit! – René

I don’t know how accurate the Hertz increase listed in the article actually is. I just booked a free week in France for 2900 points when 5500 was listed as the new increased price.
But then again, if SkyMiles are known as SkyPesos, Hertz Reward Points don’t even deserve a name as they’ve always been useless. To be fair, I don’t use Hertz for points collection. I use them as I value the President’s Circle rental benefits.
I am amazed never found value from Hertz rewards. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars with them. I thought the European points levels stayed the same but maybe I was misreading the chart.
