Update: This lounge has closed as part of Delta’s demolition of LAX T3.

It has been a little while since I have been through LAX and reviewed both the nice Delta T2 Sky Club as well as the very small T3 Sky Club that can many times be filled to capacity i.e. they will turn you away. The T2 Club has recently had some staff issues about blocking Skyteam flyers entrance and taking the Delta LAX terminal shuttle over to visit the Skyteam Korean Air club in the TBIT terminal both takes time and that Skyteam lounge has really gone down hill (but has a neat inside terminal deck).

But thanks to my friend Chris Carley, we have a peek at the new satellite T3 Delta Sky Club. Let’s take a look:

people sitting at a counter in a room

a room with many windows and tables

a blurry photo of a man sitting at a desk

a room with a desk and chairs

a bathroom sink with a mirror

While this club also looks rather small – we will take all the space we can in T3 to get away from the madhouse that is the gate area below.

a buffet with food on it

a group of coffee machines on a counter

a counter with bottles and glasses on it

Not bad at all and nice amenities for a second club in the same terminal. Personally I am looking forward to a Centurion coming to LAX and hope it is as nice as the Miami Centurion and Dallas clubs (the Dallas Centurion is now closed – the new DFW Centurion opens up in October btw).

Have you visited the new Delta T3 Satellite Sky Club? – René

I visited that Sky Club recently on either end of a business trip – it was a pleasant enough place to work and the food was surprisingly delicious at dinner time. They had some chicken tacos out and I enjoyed them. I always prefer when a lounge has a standalone high-quality espresso machine, which you can see in some of the pictures above. The WiFi signal was strong and I had no issues with access. I spent about 3 hours there one morning and then another 4 hours there the next evening (single night stay with cheap beginning of day and end of day flights).

I was on a Delta Basic Economy ticket and accessed the lounge via my American Express Business Platinum. I was able to grab a table with no issues on both visits, but I did notice some people getting irritated with a lack of space in their preferred areas.

Thank goodness for the additional LAX T-2 Sky Club. It’s small, has no view of the runways, but it does have a cappuccino/espresso machine. Both clubs have the same food but the older club lacks a fancy coffee machine. If food is your main objective head for the new club. If a great view is important to you, good luck squeezing into the older club.

Finally the finished. The remodel befor it was the size of a shoebox very cramped . The SkyClub in T2 is very nice and spacious but not as nice as Seattle’s SkyClub that’s the Flagship is a beautiful space

@Alfred: Try reaching out the LA airport police. Their contact information is on this page.

      Good luck.
