The OLD view of the bar / food area
In Minneapolis, as a Delta flyer, you basically have two Delta Sky Club choices. First you can choose the main central club or next the one near the B/C gates. Then again, that is not entirely true, you also have the flat out amazing 3rd party lounge that is right next to the PGA shop, upstairs, in the central area near all the shops. That club is the MSP Escape Lounge and one you really should visit if you have never made the time. It has very good service and food choices as well as stunning runway views – it is what the Delta Sky Clubs should be.
However, Delta has recently upgraded the central club with new food and service choices and RenesPoints reader Chris C was kind enough to take a number of shots of these changes. Let’s see visually how good they look (without any kind of PR spin).
The area right of the bar area has been transformed. Are you impressed with these latest “enhancements”? Since I have not been there myself I cannot say one way or the other but I will say I am looking forward to checking them out soon for myself.

I can’t believe people eat the chicken in the skyclub. Probably one of the worst catered items I’ve ever had in any airport. Always chewy and nasty. Free makes stuff taste better to some
Just left. Overall the food/drink layout is a lot better than it was previously. The drinks are in that awkward corner where it all (food and drink) used to be and the food is spread out in a much more logical location. The seating are seems pretty much the same.
The DL lounges at MSP are significantly under capacity for a hub with the passenger volumes that exist. Expanding the footprint of the existing lounges probably isn’t feasible. A third DL lounge is needed, especially on the G/F side of the airport
Agree with @Charlie. Was there a few days ago early in the morning, and it started out fairly empty. But a couple hours later it was really full. The food for breakfast was good, although I would have liked a little more variety with the hot food options. I left to go to my flight and volunteered to fly later and take a $500 voucher, so then I went to the Escape Lounge around 10am, and it was wonderful. Not many people, great views, great breakfast options (slightly more than the Delta lounge), and not long after the lunch options came out, and the variety was pretty impressive. Next time I’m at the airport, I’ll probably just go there and stay there.
Meh. I still prefer the C skyclub over this one. Not that much of a change except a more expanded list of food options (avoid the cheese omelets though). The C has better grab and go options (re: yogurt containers, canned/bottled beverages) and better bathrooms than the f/g one, plus it has a changing room.
