Most of the time we bloggers cover Sky Clubs & lounges as an escape away from the hustle and bustle of the airports but there is a neat space to relax if you are flying Delta via DTW. Take a look at the above. Yep, that is a man at a grand piano and he was playing the Snoopy theme as we walked by and made me smile instantly. And he was very good.
Also notice there are a number of fast food choices here at this end of the airport just past where the “air train” drops you off. In addition to the those choices you have a popular Gorden Biersch if you want something sit down between flights. But there is more than food.
There are a bunch of tablets for your use but also desk space for laptop work and charging all your “stuff”.
Lastly, depending on how many flights are departing at this end, seating can be wide open and spacious as you see in my shot.
So while lounges are normally a place to try to go, when it comes to flying Delta, airports and especially DTW has spots for you to enjoy just as much (if not more). – Rene

DTW is my standard layover for most of my trips and one of my favorites. More often than not I fly out of one of those gates and always enjoy some Chick-Fil-A which is to the left of your first picture. 🙂
