You do not have a bunch of choices for lounges post US immigration in Terminal 3 at Toronto’s YYZ airport. You do however have an American Airlines Admirals club.
As the directions in the app say, as soon as you exit the doors for security you simply take a hard right and you will find the club. BTW I am told they are building a new club above this current one so depending on when you read this post it maybe one floor up now.
The desk folks were very warm and inviting and welcomed me to the club. There is a small alcove just left of the entrance for larger luggage and having this area in full view of the front desk is nice (not always the case in many clubs). You also have a selection of free newspapers as well as magazines.
Also left of the entrance is a decent sized work room with a number of full height cubicles (with power) for work. You have a printer / copier as well as a phone (who uses these nowadays) and even a guest computer (again, don’t get this, but they have it).
Continuing on left and around the club is the main seating area. The seats are comfortable and classic. After so many visits to IKEA looking Sky Clubs I found this one refreshing in the older “club feel” if you will.
Directly behind the check-in desk is a coffee station and more seating as well as more reading choices for you to enjoy.
Lastly we have the full service bar that includes some complimentary “well” type drinks with additional choices for purchase as well as food for purchase choices.
Snacks are similar to Sky Club fare (in most clubs) and the soup I sampled during one visit was OK but nothing spectacular. This is not a meal but will get you by.
Overall this is a small but pleasant club and really, when it is the “only game in town” it works just fine. Do keep in mind if you are a Delta flyer it is a few minute walk to the end of the concourse where the Delta gates are located. – René
