We are only weeks away from a bunch of readers joining myself and a number of BoardingArea bloggers in NYC. That will be such a fun evening to catch up with my fellow bloggers I have known for years who, I might add, are just brilliant minds when it comes to all things frequent flyer related. Oh, and on top of that, a number of readers who I have been longing to get to say hello to and meet as well. What treat.
Then, the next day after the meet-N-greet, a number of readers are going on a Delta mileage “fun run”. Talk about a couple of perfect AVgeek days in the middle of winter – how much better can it get? (yeah, we can all UG and all bump for 1k vouchers each 2 or 3 times – that would be even better)!

Well, there is another chance for you to join a number of us for some AVgeek fun. This March 16th, Wednesday, a bunch of us are going to Pima Air to see thousands of parked, and derelict, airplanes and other space & aviation related stuff. Why? If you have to ask you should just stop reading the post right now (I’m sorry).
In addition to a day in the desert, a number of us Diamonds, who did a fun run last year, are also doing a 1st class Elite Mileage Run from ORD to get there at ~8CPM. Now I am sorry to disappoint you but that price is long gone. We have, on some of the flights, just about filled up the Delta 1st class cabins (we are doing a number of legs both ways – clearly). But there are some decent coach seats open if you want to run with us and try for some upgrades. 😉 Honestly, unless you have some regional upgrade certs you are better off just meeting us at the bone yard for the day outside of TUS.
If you cannot join us for this fun day, please consider as announced the April FTU event or the Chicago Seminars in October. If you decide on Chicago, think about coming in on Thursday afternoon as I will be in town the day before the “DO” so if you want to join me for dinner at the host hotel restaurant for some all things points one on one conversations I will be there! – René

I can’t make it to your Pima event, but it looks like a cool place to visit the next time I’m in the Phoenix/Tuscon area. It might even be better than the Air & Space Museum next to IAD, which I thought was outstanding.
