During the month of December 2015 Delta is offering all Delta American Express card holders the chance for two “top shelf” drinks free of charge per visit.
Delta has recently been upgrading the complementary choices, both food as well as drinks, but this is a way for you to try some of their normally up-charge drinks at no additional charge.
If you happen to have the Delta Reserve card personal or business from American Express, like I do, then entrance for yourself is complimentary as well as the two free drinks during the promotional period.
Delta does not require you to actually scan your card for the free drinks so I imagine if you went to more than one club during your layover you could utilize this benefit at additional Sky Clubs. – Rene

I wonder if Pappy and Blue Label are included. 😉
That’s nice to hear! Will they give you a voucher of some sort when checking in?
@Caroline – Nope just show card.
Bummer, only Delta Amex cards?
So my Delta MasterCard that’s available in Germany doesn’t get me anything. Well, not exactly, but I won’t get the same as a holder of any Delta Amex card.
Okay,it’s something I can live with 😉
That’s too funny. I just ordered a Mimosa and am sitting in the JFK Sky Deck. I thought the bartender was being nice. He said it was a charge, I handed him my card, and he gave it back and said “enjoy”. Until I read this while drinking that mimosa, I had no idea about the free drinks. Thanks for the news Rene.
Yep…they certainly aren’t advertising this.
Does this apply to the Amex Delta Platinum. Not clear since you only talk about your Reserve card
@Leer – Gold, Platinum or Reserve cards personal or business. Any of those 6 cards gets you the 2 free drinks. ONLY the 2 Reserve cards gets you into the Sky Club free. Clear?
Anyone know if they offer top shelf at the SLC SC?
@Deborah – They have a bar with bar tenders so yes I think so: http://renespoints.boardingarea.com/2015/02/15/delta-salt-lake-international-slc-skyclub-review-delta-points-blog/
