The past two days have really been fun. I enjoyed, not just one, but two bumps on this trip and still got to spend some time at the Miami Centurion Lounge (more on that later).
I also got to again have the chance to play with my LG G Android watch and Delta has pushed with their latest APP update a bunch of improvements and they do work MUCH better. You can see my original review of the watch and the app HERE just before the update.
One of my biggest gripes about the app was that it would not stay up, that is, once you pulled it up it would go away very quickly. Now, it is smart enough to understand that until you dismiss it that you always want it to show and it does. Both at TSA and at the gate all you have to do is look at the watch and it shows the mobile QR code for boarding and security. Very nice. Well done Delta.
But as I said it is not perfect but much of the issues are due to the Fly Delta App itself not the watch or the “push” technology. Like what? If you have some strange IROPS or other issues the app and the watch tends to push the OLD boarding pass not the new one. So still a bit of a work in progress.
I have to say the watch is growing on me. I still had to reboot my phone and the watch when I go to the airport for it to instantly pop up like before. Not really a huge deal but an irritation. I still want, in a perfect world, an app on the watch to just pull up a boarding pass. Maybe in the next update we will get that.
I do love all the updates this watch gives me like phone call alerts, text alerts, SPG alerts and on and on. Is it a keeper? I am just still not sure yet. I need to play more! – René

I am very fond of the smartwatches. I was using the Android watch which has various apps including the Fly Delta app. This app annoyed me the most. So I switched to the apple watch by checking specifications and features on the Apple iPhone Support. Recently one of my friends are saying that this app is very much improved but still not up to the expectations.
