Many of you may, or may not, have got this email notice that Skybonus points have not posted your points going all the way back, get this, to:
November 1, 2014
I can tell you from my first hand experience that my MQD spend and points for 2014 were almost $10,000 and yet my Skybonus posted spend was just over $5,000.
They direct you to go back and submit all your tickets (as well as any employees) going back to November 1st. That will be a ton of work for those who have maybe dozens of tickets that did not post as well as employees who you may not have as simple access to their ticket history as your own at “My Delta”.
The other issue that I am not sure how Delta is going to address is this: I am sure there were a number of folks who were kicked out of Skybonus the 1st of this year that maybe should NOT have been, due to this error! They may have had points wiped out that should NOT have been wiped out.
I am rather “over” Skybonus due to the crushing changes coming 1 January 2016 and this will put an end to Skybonus for so many small business people. I think it is shameful that Delta has devalued the program so much this year (in addition to the other SkyRuble changes as well).
Lastly we have another issue. Notice the top photo? I have no one working for me named Russ. Several other readers have also got emails to the wrong people. Oooppesss! I have reached out to Delta about this and they are aware of the issue and are working on it. If I get more info I will update this post or pop up another one.
I would do this if I were you – if you were affected by this bug (simple to find out by putting in a bunch of old ticket numbers) I would be asking for some bonus Skybonus points for the extra work (I know I will be). If you were kicked out of the program – have them reactive your account, put back any points you had, and let you put in all the missing tickets! – René

You also need to check that the actual Skybonus point calculation was done correctly. I have several tickets that were calculated as hub coach fares when they were actually first class non-hub itineraries.
Since my company will be spending close to $0 on Delta in 2015, I have to decide what to do with the paltry 300k Skybonus points we have left.
Dear Rene,
I have also found a huge number of missing tickets for professional travel by me and by my spouse, where I know the SkyBonus numbers had been entered into the ticket–and now not showing up in the account. Thank you for having pointed this error out last April. So let me ask:
a) Did they credit you correctly for the errors they made?
b) Did they give you any compensation for the huge amount of additional time and effort to find the information going back to last April?
@Bernard – a)yes and b)no 🙁
