I am not too far away now from my annual visit out to the “Greatest Snow on Earth” that is, the Wasatch front of Utah. I just love visiting this great state. Folks are so nice, the micro brews are everywhere and oh the skiing is just the best. Over the past 20 years I can only think of one year I did not go.
The Salt Lake City International Airport Terminal Redevelopment Program has updated just what is on the way including some artists’ renderings of what is in store.
While more expensive than renting off site, many times it is just so convenient to get and drop your car right at the airport I have to say. That space is being really upgraded. They tell us:
“This photo captures the complex construction of new rental car facilities near the existing parking garage. The large cranes are used to insert stone columns deep into the ground to support new buildings. $80.7 million of construction is now underway for the new $138 million rental car facilities and completion of the south parking lot.”
Time for me to get my skis waxed and tuned and make sure my ski coat still fits. 😉 Want to see some of my old trip reports to Utah – check this one out from way back in 2011. – René

You lost me when you mentioned micro brews. Utah is one of the most restrictive states for drinking in the US. Have you been to Oregon, Colorado, or California?
@Scott – they are EVERYWHERE. I love it. Red Rock, Squatters, Bohemian and on and on! Just rocks!
“The designs are still in development and final plans will be revealed this summer.”
