This has to be the silliest thing ever and the most funny thing to ever contribute money to. As a blogger, I am in! Not just in, but I am putting up a post about it to let the world know.
Kickstarter is a good way for start-ups to get seed money to do something special. But like all things points, we are using it not quite in the way intended – in this case to have a BoardingArea.com blogger Ben just fly the 380 super suite for fun and to write about it. How could I say no to that? So I sent him a few bucks!
My guess is he will be FULLY FUNDED inside 24hrs. What is your guess and are you in? – René

Pay my way for that FC ride and I will write up a Pulitzer worthy masterpiece for you to publish!
@TexasYankee – ya just gotta be the 1st one to think of it. wish I had thought of it. but happy to let Ben fly it and tell us all about it! 🙂
If you had thought of it first
@Justin – I know right! But most happy for Ben as I am sure you are as well.
I contributed, too it’s vicarious fun!
As much as i like ben and want to help, i think we can all donate money to better causes in this World.
I agree with Mike. No way I’m giving money to this. How about Compassion Int’l or Salvation Army or Wounded Warrior Project?
@All – just a reminder for all about the DeltaPoints rules: agree or disagree is fine as long as in a respectful way. Attack me, the blog or others and your comment will either be censored or removed. Get really nasty and you will end up on the blocked list.
This is the ultimate DYKWIA. Coach is good enough for the future king of England, but not good enough for a blogger?
@AlohaDaveKennedy – there were a few bloggers who did complain that the AA flight did not have enough 1st class seats and thus the coach ride for HRH. I know I will NEVER EVER get to fly this seat and most times don’t fly 1st class as Delta has no 1st class but if Delta did have 1st class you can get your bottom dollar, errr, points, I would spend the points it takes to fly that seat as much as I could.
I think Lucky should use his free ticket for TWO readers, and he stay home or fly somewhere else.
That would be a great way to say “thankyou ” to his readers and fans.
Also, HRH Prince William was asked by his mother to not be extravagant and fly First class on private business.
So, no he was NOT bumped out of First, he wanted coach!
Isn’t that great?
@Emily – that could be fun, but I don’t want to read about two readers trip, I want to read about Ben’s comparison as he has been in ALL those 1st class seats. Txs for update on HRH William. But I think most times he does fly in 1st 🙂
For the record, that wasn’t Prince William, it was professional look-alike and stunt man Simon Watkinson. Eli Ross made a mistake which he now admits, although it’s hard to blame him. They look like twins.
@Mitch – really (about HRH – fake) – had no idea. Funny! Ben has an updated post. It looks like anyone may have a shot to join him!
I would like to contribute to this but I don’t see anywhere in Kickstarter to add conditions. I would like to contribute $5000 so long as Ben brings me as his +1 in the suite. How do I add this stipulation to my pledge?
