Spring Break is over for the local grade schools in my area, which means I have spent the week calling everyone and welcoming them back home, and asking how their vacations went.
I have had the opportunity to visit several places and when I tour hotels, I try to picture the type of clients I think would enjoy the various properties. This Spring Break I sent several families with children to a place I know you will love as much as they did.
Los Cabos is located where the warm Sea of Cortes meets the cooler waters of the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful luxury properties are found in 3 areas; 1) Cabo San Lucas 2) The Corridor and 3) San Jose del Cabo. Los Cabos has rugged cliffs, mountains, lots of marine life and the famous rock arch El Arco. Cabo San Lucas is known for its nightlife, where charming San Jose del Cabo is known for its jewelry shops, art galleries and fantastic restaurants. In the Corridor you will find the beautiful Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort. I just adore this Hilton! I am sure you are aware that Hilton has a wonderful point program, which is what I used my first time at this Hilton. I have been happy to help my clients with points by having them book the first or last half with points and I book the other portion with a package. Even when it is booked with a package rate you still earn points on the stay.
The Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort is a great property. Having a travel agent comes in handy when reserving resorts in Los Cabos. Not every beach in Los Cabos has a swimmer-friendly beach…therefore most properties have wonderful pool areas, but the Hilton has both. Infinity pools with swim-up sushi, taco and pizza bars and a pool concierge will keep kids and adults alike happy, but kids will also love the Cabo Kids program. This fantastic program allows kids to make new friends in their age range while enjoying fun supervised activities. Parents may feel insulted when they go to pick up their kids and the kids refuse to leave. If this happens don’t feel bad, just schedule some time for yourself at the Spa, shop the boutiques or schedule your golf for the next day.
One of my happiest memories at this resort was participating in the Sea Turtle Protection program, but you might choose to do some whale watching or ziplining to keep you busy.
They have a nice selection of room categories, but during Spring Break and Holidays those rooms go quickly… especially the suites. The suites range from 619 sq ft for the Junior Suite to 1095 sq ft for the Premier Suite. The Presidential suite is unbelievable, but even booking early it is hard to find it for 7 days in a row.
The staff is amazing and they really cater to your every request. This resort is not close to the airport, so you will either want to book a private limo offered by the resort or a private company or rent a car. A taxi will cost approximately $110.00 round trip. TIP… Certain tour companies offer FREE shared transfers, so make sure you check when booking a package, because that is one HUGE savings!
This property frequently has lots of specials including free breakfast, $50 food and beverage credits and free nights. However, they are usually offered within certain time periods, I have gotten my clients some great freebies by having them slightly alter their dates by a day or two.
If you go to visit please make sure to have a margarita for me!
Adios! – Tamara
