You can easily earn up to 7,500 bonus points on purchases you probably already make, thanks to a new Amazon promotion.
Think about how often you order things like household supplies, travel gear, batteries, or even gift cards from Amazon. Those purchases could earn 5X points for the next three months.
The no-annual-fee Chase Freedom Flex®‘s and legacy Chase Freedom card’s bonus 5% cashback (5X Chase) categories for April through June 2025 are:
- Amazon purchases
- Chase Travel℠
- Feeding America donations
We don’t often say certain credit cards are “no-brainers.” But the Chase Freedom Flex® is a rare exception. This post breaks down nine reasons you should really, really, really consider adding this card to your wallet.
(All information about the Chase Freedom Flex® and Chase Freedom card was collected independently by Eye of the Flyer. The card issuer has not reviewed it. The legacy Chase Freedom card is no longer available to new applicants.)
Manual enrollment/activation is required. You can do that online through your Chase card account or simply plug in your last name, the last four digits of your card number, and your zip code here at ChaseBonus.com. Enrollment is open now through May 15, 2026.

You’ll earn 5% cashback (awarded as 5X Chase points) for eligible purchases made with merchants between April 1 and June 30, 2026. A maximum of $1,500 in combined spending applies.
If you don’t yet have the Flex card, you can score even more money/points: earn 20,000 bonus points (equal to $200 cashback) when you spend just $500 on purchases within three (3) months of being approved for the card.
Most of us (and/or our family members…) spend a lot of money with Amazon. So, this is an easy way to earn a chunk of bonus points.
5X at Amazon
In addition to the usual stuff we buy through Amazon, here’s how we’ll earn some of our 5X. If you give Amazon gift cards to people for birthdays, babies, graduations (it’s almost that time of year), or whatever, this could save you a decent chunk of money on physical gift cards.
Keep in mind that Christmas, Hannukkah, and Kwanzaa will be here before we know. Again, here’s an opportunity to order a bunch of Amazon gift cards and knock out a bunch of holiday gift shopping this spring.
My wife and I bought a bunch of gift cards the last time this promotion ran. We used them throughout the year as gifts for others and also just to save money on our other Amazon purchases.
5X: Chase Travel
For a no-annual-fee card, 5X on travel purchases is awesome. Keep in mind these bookings must be made through Chase Travel, which is an online travel agency (OTA) — not directly through airlines, hotels, trains, etc.
I know a lot of our blog readers are loyal Delta and American Express users. But Chase does sell Delta and SkyTeam partner flights, so this might be worth it for you.

5X: Feeding America
Do good, earn bonus points (and get a tax write-off?). I’m in!!
Final Approach
The no-annual-fee Chase Freedom Flex®‘s and legacy Chase Freedom categories for April through June 2026 are Amazon, Chase Travel and Feeding America donations.
