We all survived 2025? What a year it was. Here on the blog it was an interesting year to say the very least. AI has been brutal to not just EotF but most travel blogs and in 2025 we had one of our lowest visited months in over 10 years. That said, with all the challenges, the blog page views were UP by 15% year over year! Thank you for all those who have been reading the blog (forever) as well as those new to the blog.
As Chris keeps saying we are still a Delta Air Lines “focused” blog. But that is not all you will find here after we merged FrequentFloaters.com into the EotF fold and we have a number of writers who cover topic across the travel spectrum. 2026 should be most interesting and all of us are looking forward to sharing tips to make your travel the best it can be at prices you can afford.
So now let’s look at a number of posts that had the most visits last year. Also let’s see (just for fun) if Chris or me had the posts that readers visited the most. Here we go:
#1 – The “World’s Hottest Flight Attendant” Might Be on Your Next Delta Flight! This post from Chris was by far the biggest post of 2025.
#2 – Farewell to Delta MQM: A Eulogy. Chris posted this at the very start of the year and yes we still fondly miss MQMs. 🙁
#3 – Earning Delta Status This Year: How It’s Different from 2024. – The lessons learned on this post from the 1st of last year still apply. I am honestly shocked Delta did not “enhance” the numbers (yet)!
#4 – Heavy Metal: Delta is Now Accepting Orders for Personalized Medallion®® Bag Tags! I ordered my set and I bet you did too. Did you use your name on the “brag tags” or something funny? Let us know.
#5 – Should Delta Travelers Expect Major Changes in Upgrades and Sky Club Crowds Next Month? Chris pontificated if the Delta Sky Clubs would be empty with the changes that hit last year in February. Sadly, a year later, clubs are still PACKED as we all know.
#6 – What is the “Minimum” Delta Elite Status for Decent Value These Days? If you are keeping track, all of the big posts, so far, have been penned by Chris. For me I was very happy flying Delta as a Gold Medallion® and I think many agree it is a Skyteam sweet spot for now and will be so for 2026 as well. Agree?
#7 – The Many Things Even Delta Medallion®® Frequent Flyers Get Wrong About SkyMiles 2025. Early on in 2025 I posted this and I have a feeling many new Delta elites still don’t know all the rules.
#8 – Do Chase Sapphire Reserve®® Members Get Priority Access to Chase Sapphire Lounges? Would you believe I have yet to visit a single Chase Sapphire Lounge? Everyone says they are THE standard to beat in 2026. What has been your experience?
#9 – Delta Changes After February 1st, Free Delta SkyMiles Bonus Still Works, Bye LYFT – Hello UBER Delta, Cheap Cruise Upgrades Now Gone and More! Surprisingly a weekly recap post simply crushed it and cracked the top 10 of all posts for 2025.
#10 – How Losing My Delta Diamond Status and Dropping to Gold Medallion®® has Completely Changed my Booking Habits. My post on how becoming a “free agent” has changed the way I think about booking flights got a lot of attention. I used to always just book Delta – no more. You?
#11 – Lessons Learned: Mistakes Cost My Wife Over a Half-Year of Delta Medallion®® Status. Just outside the top 10 this post from Chris got a lot of attention and went what qualifies for “viral” in the new AI age. Such an interesting post.
#12 – How to Use Your American Express Platinum Card®’s Saks Benefit. With the talk on the street that Saks is about to go into bankruptcy if you have any credits or gift card or so on I would burn them sooner than later!
#13 – Is Delta Comfort+ Better Than Main Cabin? Chris give his 2 cents. Most readers know I am no fan of C+ and would only pay for it if it was free or so cheap one drink would pay for it. What do you think?
#14 – How Much Money Do the Crew Onboard Your Cruise Ship Earn Each Year? The Numbers May Surprise You! We finally have a cruise post inside the top 20 on the blog for 2025. The numbers really are shocking and I am happy I tip my crew and tip them well.
#15 – What is the Best Card for Delta Airport Lounge Access? I bet most would be surprised there are so many options that will get you into a Delta Sky Club. Do you know all the choices and the best one to use?
#16 – Capital One Venture X Cards Losing Direct Access to Plaza Premium Group Lounges. Sadly it seems bad news posts always get a lot more views than good news posts. Here is another example.
#17 – RUMOR: Nearly $800 Annual Fee and Card Refresh Coming to the Chase Sapphire Reserve®®. At the time of posting it was a rumor. Now we know it was not and all the facts about the jump in yearly fee as well as the gains and losses with the new card program.
#18 – Woman From China Melts Down at Airport Gate Over Bag Issue and Throws Childlike Floor Tantrum (Video). It’s funny how hard we work on trip reports with tons of photos and time invested. Then posts like this get a ton of views? Yup. Blogging in 2025.
#19 – What is the Best Credit Card to Pay for Delta Airfare Purchases? The wisdom from this post is just as applicable in 2026 as it was last year. What card do you use to buy your Delta tickets?
#20 – Delta Air Lines Premium Select Experience (Premium Economy) – What has Changed? This is an interesting post to round out the top 20 for a number of reasons. First it is the only post from 2024 that made the top 20 in 2025 and keeps getting tons of views. The post is just as relevant today as it was in 2024.
So that wraps up the top posts for 2025 on the blog. While it was a challenging year it was encouraging to see the numbers up and we can not begin to thank you enough, when it comes to applying for a travel card, that you support the blog by starting here. It is what keeps the lights on and will keep us posting for 2026.
All the best from the entire EotF crew – René, Chris, Michael, MJ, Charlie and ThatGuy onboard!
