At this point in time most shows on Norwegian Cruise Lines are still provided free of charge including their larger Broadway style shows. While I would never book a cruise just for the shows they offer there is one show, if provided, you really must make time to see and that is “The Choir of Man”!
This show is simply hilarious and so much fun. They play one of the greatest down under anthems that has ever been produced and a song I fell in love with on a flight to Europe so many years ago. The crew belts this song out and if you are not on your feet moving and singing along there is simply something wrong with you. Take a look:
Even before they get to this powerhouse they open the show inviting anyone on-stage to have a beer with the actors before they begin. I mean seriously how ultra cool is that? This is the way to warm up a show.
Just about every song they sing is one you will know and love and there is so much going on all over the stage that you just smile from ear to ear for the entire performance. Speaking of smiling (spoiler alert) this part will just kill you and is so unexpected:
Are you motivated now to make sure you see this show onboard? I hope so. Oh and before you maybe say are not all these photos and videos and such prohibited i.e. you may not ever record shows onboard ships? Just the opposite. They in fact encourage you to share and be a part of it all. Just don’t film so much you can’t enjoy the show!
My wife and I went three times and loved each and every performance and will 100% go again if on another ship we are on. This is a show you just can not miss. Have you seen Choir of Man and did you enjoy the performance as much as me? – René
