Disney parks aren’t the only outfit that uses “mind tricks” to affect the tourist experience. Plus, Vegas prices are insane for even the little things.

I live in Las Vegas. The analysts should not only look at the drop in out of state tourists, but how many locals have discontinued going to the “Strip.” When they did away with free parking for locals, many stayed home. The 3-hour free parking is ok, but it does not motivate me to stay longer than that. I watch the time closely and leave before my 3-hour free parking expires. Recently, family came to town. I thought it would be nice to take them to the Top of the World restaurant at the Strat to see the incredible views. I have not been there since 2017; however, they now charge a 27.00 fee per person if you want a table that rotates. Oh, hell no. For a party of six, that is ridiculous. We did dine there. It was a nice experience, and the after we went up two floors and walked around to look at the views. The gouging of tourist needs to stop. If they want locals back, they need to offer a local discount, and not just 3-hours of free parking.
I saw a report about how off-Strip casinos are doing amazing business. Like, record profits. I like the luxury accommodations of places like Bellagio but I much prefer gambling and hanging out downtown.
