One of our favorite cash back rewards credit cards (and a couple of its cousins) improved its already easy-to-meet early spend bonus!
Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card
The Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card offers $200 cash back after spending $500 on purchases within three (3) months of being approved for card membership. Plus, enjoy a $100 credit to use towards flights, stays and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel during your first cardholder year.. The $100 travel credit is new — and you can take advantage of that whether or not you meet the minimum spending requirement. But $500 is pretty easy — especially these days. (Read more and learn here how to apply.) The card’s annual fee is $0.
This is a limited-time offer, though we haven’t yet been told when exactly it expires.
I’ve held the Savor Cash Card for several years and really like it. There are tons of 3% cashback categories — it helps you fight inflation 😉 .
Cashback can be applied toward statement credit, sent as a check, deposited via ACH, applied toward travel, or transferred as miles to another Capital One product.
The card also features a 0% introductory APR on purchases for 15 months, then 19.24%, 25.24% or 29.24%, based on your creditworthiness. .

Why I Really Like This Card
We’ve already covered the $0 annual fee. That’s the first reason I like it.
Next, the cash back earnings are great — especially for a no-annual-fee card:
- 8% cash back on Capital One Entertainment purchases
- 5% cash back on hotels, rental cars, and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel (terms apply)
- 3% cash back on dining
- 3% cash back at grocery stores (excluding superstores like Walmart® and Target®)
- 3% cash back on popular streaming services
- 3% cash back on entertainment
- Movie theatres
- Concert promoters
- Commercial sports promoters (professional or semi-professional live sporting events)
- Theatrical promoters
- Amusement parks
- Tourist attractions
- Zoos
- Bowling alleys
- Record stores
- Video rental locations (excluding digital streaming and subscription services)
- Aquariums
- Dance halls (I’m curious what “dance halls” are out there)
- Billiard and pool establishments
- 1% on other eligible purchases
Between dining, grocery stores, popular streaming services, and entertainment, I bet those 3% cash back categories cover a lot of what most of us put on our cards. Is 3% cash back the best earnings for those categories? Unless you want to start talking about annual fee cards, this is pretty tough to beat.

Other Cards Featuring the Same (or Similar) Offer
A pair of other no-annual-fee Capital One cards also added the $100 travel credits to their early spend bonuses.

Just a thought: US Bank 4 percent cash back card. Although, it has foreign transaction fees.
