Final Hours: At Least $1,000 in Travel Bonuses for Two Travel Rewards Credit Cards

If you think $1,000 or more might be handy for your upcoming summer (or winter!) travels, now is the time to stop waiting and start doing. Two major travel rewards credit card offers expire in the coming hours.

TODAY: Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card (Yes, They Sell Delta and Other Airline Flights)

At some point today, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card‘s big promotion will expire. New cardmembers can earn 75,000 bonus Miles after spending $4,000 on eligible purchases within three (3) months of being approved for card membership. Plus, they’ll receive a one-time $250 Capital One Travel credit to use during the first cardholder year — regardless of whether or not they meet the minimum spending requirement. 75,000 points are worth a penny each when redeeming them through Capital One Travel. So, that’s how we get a $750 value.

I know a bunch of our readers are Delta Air Lines fans. You could purchase Delta flights through Capital One. Apply your Miles and travel credit to save some money on those travels. (Also note the other available airlines, too.)

The Cap One Venture Card (not to be confused with the benefits rich Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card) earns 5X Miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel and 2X on all other eligible purchases.

So, you’ll earn at least 8,000 Miles in organic spending if you knock out that $4,000 minimum for the early spend bonus.

THURSDAY: Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (They, Too, Sell Delta Flights!)

This offer is intriguing for a couple of different reasons.

First, it’s the card’s best-ever offer and only the second time it’s been available. The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card offers new cardholders 100,000 bonus points after you spend $5,000 in eligible purchases. The previous offer was 60,000 bonus points. The most recent promotion topped out at 90,000 points, if I remember correctly. (Learn here how to apply.)

Next, there’s a big rumor going around that the Chase Sapphire Reserve® is raising its annual fee to nearly $800. The Reserve (currently $550 annual fee) packs way more travel benefits than its Preferred sibling ($95 annual fee). The Sapphire Preferred might be a little more palatable right now — if you believe the rumors or don’t want to roll the dice.

If you want to jump-start your adventure into Chase points, this is really a fantastic opportunity.

Don’t fret, Delta fans. Chase sells Delta flights.

In fact, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card members can use points at a 25% bonus when purchasing travel through Chase Travel℠. Points are usually worth a penny each when applied toward Chase travel purchases. But they’re 1.25 cents for trips booked through Chase Travel. That might not sound like much. But consider that 50,000 points would be worth $625 in Chase Travel purchases. That’s quite a savings.

The card is also pretty good for points earnings:
