If you’re swinging through Philadelphia or Las Vegas this weekend — or anytime thereafter — there are new airport lounges ready to greet you, thanks to Capital One and Chase.

Capital One Lounge Las Vegas

The newest Capital One Lounge is now open at Harry Reid Las Vegas International Airport (LAS). You can find it on level 2 of the D gates of Terminal 1. (It’s situated perfectly for Delta Air Lines travelers.)

The club is open daily from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Here’s a peek at the food menu. And take a look at their beverage list, too. The bar includes several non-alcoholic options, including mocktails and a beer.

The lounge is 8,200 square feet. I’m curious to see if that will create any overcrowding issues like I experienced in Denver.

This is kind of cool. Capital One is introducing “Daily Rituals,” which it says are “signature experiences delivered via roaming trolley carts throughout the day.”

Guests can enjoy the Morning Caffè Shakerato, an Italian-style shaken iced coffee with optional alcohol add-ns in the morning; Afternoon Tea Service featuring a wellness tea blend from Art of Tea and pastries from Suzuya Patisserie; and a Sunset Sparkling Toast with sparkling wine at sunset.

“Italian-style shaken iced coffee”? I might take a trip to Vegas just to try that! 🙂

  • Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business members and up to two guests can enter the lounges for free. (Each additional guest is $45.)
  • Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Spark Miles for Business can enter the lounges for $45 a person.
  • Guests without one of those cards can enter the lounge for a $90 fee per visit.

You can enter up to three hours before your flight departs. Entrance is not granted to people arriving at their final destination.

You can read more here about Capital One Lounges.

Chase Sapphire Lounge in Philadelphia

Hot in the heels of their first West Coast club opening, Chase Sapphire is back on the East Coast for its newest lounge. This one is in Philadelphia.

The 20,000 square foot Chase Sapphire Lounge at PHL is located post-security in the connector between Terminals D and E.

I’ve also been to the Boston and New York-LGA Chase Sapphire Lounges. Both are very nice. The food and beverages are delicious. I assume the Philadelphia lounge will be equally as good.

The Philly Chase Sapphire Lounge features a beer garden:

That is probably the nicest “beer garden” I’ve ever seen.

The lounge is open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Entrance is limited to people whose flights depart within three hours. If Philadelphia is your final destination, you won’t be able to enter the lounge.

You don’t need a Chase Sapphire Reserve® card to enter Chase Sapphire Lounges. But they’re your best option if you plan to be a return guest.

Chase Sapphire Reserve®, The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card, or J.P. Morgan Reserve® members who activate their card’s Priority Pass Select membership and present their card upon entry have unlimited access. They may also bring up to two guests. Again, remember to activate your card’s Priority Pass membership. You’ll need to bring that card with you. (All information about the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, J.P. Morgan Reserve®, and The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card was gathered independently by Eye of the Flyer. It was neither provided nor reviewed by the card issuer.)

You can still visit if you have a Priority Pass membership from other cards (i.e., Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, Capital One Venture X Business, etc.) Those members receive one complimentary Chase Sapphire Lounge visit per calendar year. (After that, it’s $75 per visit). Guests are $75 each.

We look forward to visiting each lounge and providing detailed reviews! Meanwhile, please let us know if you drop into either lounge — and what you think!

Heading to LAS in a couple hours, planning to check it out if there isn’t a long line.

I saw the Capital One lounge at DCA. I like the way that it’s open style, you can see inside the club from the terminal. This is great marketing. It’s frustrating that you can’t get into the Sky Club or Centurion Club when you are flying on a American, even when you have paid an annual fee for Club membership (Delta Reserve card).
