Today we are only 164 days till Midsummer and the lightest day of the year and by the end of January we will be back to 10 hours of daylight (in South Bend IN anyway). If you think my Swedish heritage is showing – you would be right. Maybe you too are like me? But enough about light let’s look at the very busy week that was on the blog.
Oh MQMs I will miss you. You were my dearest friend for oh so many years. I learned to love you and enjoyed the flood of joy you gave me on partner flights in business class as well as a mountain of you from Amex card spend. Chris gave a moving eulogy to our dearly departed and now gone forever.
So just what is the value of Delta Medallion status in 2025? Is there a sweet spot level to shoot for? Is it worth paying a bit more to reach a higher level? What about if you still are a Delta frequent flyer? We have it covered.
Delta Air Lines really has tried to make the 2025 Medallion year as simple as possible and yet so many don’t even know the most basic bits about the program. See if you are in the know or not.
Our Royal Caribbean man MJ has a review of the perfect day at CocoCay. If you did not know it cruise lines are all building simply amazing private islands with entertainment galore. Some readers were critical of the costs. See what you think.
Lastly this week ThatGuy (onboard) who works full time for one of the major cruise lines has a great review of what you can expect if you are a cruiser with special needs and that even includes those with a CPAP machine and more.
I will be spending today using my snow blower for the first time all season. It is a 2 stage from Lowes and giggles at anything under 2 feet so we will be fine. If you are down south – stay home – your neighbors don’t understand snow like us in the Midwest! 😉 René
