Nomad Lane —Â a travel bag and accessory company co-founded by Eye of the Flyer friend Kish Vasnani — is currently running a long weekend Black Friday-Cyber Monday sale. No promo code is needed — the savings are automatically applied.
I have a v4 Bento Bag, designed for trips last 2-3 days (or more if you’re a great packer!).

Nomad Lane provided me with a bag to try in exchange for my honest feedback. Here’s the thing: it’s pricey but very durable. If I didn’t carry so much crap (travel surge suppressor with extension cord, USB cords galore, power adapters, etc) and were a better packer, I could make it work even better. Maybe that will be a goal for 2025. 🙂 . But I’m able to pack my 16″ MacBook Pro and iPad Air 2 along with a bunch of supplies, pens, legal pad, and other essentials I need during flights and meetings. When I pack it full of stuff — which is most of the time — I wonder if the zippers and stitching will break. Nope. The zippers have always stayed on the tracks/teeth and the fabric never has come close to “popping.”
As you can see in the picture above, I can usually store it underneath the seat in front of me and have a little extra room on the side for my feet.
I’ve gotten plenty of compliments about how nice the Bento Bag looks, too. Fun fact: Kish designed the bag’s tech organizer and toiletry pouch based on Delta One amenity kits.
Head to Nomad Lane’s site and check out their sale!
