With “black Friday” up soon I am looking at cruise deals I may want to book but with 3 sailings already booked over the next year or so it will have be some major savings for me to jump onboard. But that is next week – let’s look at last week’s posts:
Chris has a great post about keeping, canceling or getting the Capital One Venture X card. Believe it or not it is not a card I have ever had and it has me thinking.
Next up, if you are in need of Delta MQDs, you may want to consider a mileage run before the end of the year. Yes, you can still earn bonus MQDs with runs. See how here.
There are new lounges coming online in Phoenix and San Diego. What are the opening dates and what can we expect?
For a long long time Delta has given out what are called Job Well done or JWD certs that elites can give to Delta employees who do an exceptional job either in person or on the phone. They used to never expire – well now they do!
Once again there is a video of what Delta Air Lines can do to your golf clubs if you are foolish enough to check them in a soft case. This time around an LPGA tour pro was the victim.
It seems like everyone is jumping ship from Twitter, err X, and moving to Bluesky. You can follow us on that platform as well now.
If you have flights through February of 2025 then you may want to check them as another round of SCS or “Schedule Change Saturday” from Delta has rolled out and you may be able to get a free change. Keep in mind the rule says it needs to be at least 1 hour (arrival or departure) but the app or online may allow free changes even if less than an hour.
Last up this week MSC has decided to add another tier to their Voyagers loyalty program. What are the new perks and what impact on Diamonds? I cover the highlights.
I hope you are having a great fall weekend. I am testing my snow blower and adjusting the skids as I have a feeling the Midwest is going to be in for a cold white winter. Shudder… – René
