If you frequent some arenas in a few major global cities, you might be able to earn back a pretty penny on your concession purchases during the next two or so years.
Amex Offer: American Express Venue Collection
American Express cardholders can earn up to 10% in statement credits when using their enrolled card to pay eligible food and beverage concessions purchases at American Express Venue Collection™ arenas and stadiums. A maximum of $250 can be earned back each calendar year — and the offer expires on December 31, 2026.
Manual enrollment is required and terms apply.
Qualifying purchases include food and beverage concessions purchases made in-person at point of sale and at self-service kiosks at venues in the American Express Venue Collection. At Hollywood Bowl, qualifying purchases also include purchases made in the Hollywood Bowl app or via web browser (hollywoodbowl.com/onlineorder/amex).
All of my Amex cards were targeted.
Considering that concession prices can be rather outrageous at some venues, this might yield considerable value if you regularly attend sporting events or concerts.
Amex App Only?
Here’s an interesting little twist: the Amex Venue Collection offer was available for me only on the Amex app — not the desktop site.
Where are the American Express Venue Collection Stadiums and Arenas?
So far, it’s a pretty small footprint.
- Chicago, IL
- United Center
- Los Angeles, CA, Metro Area
- Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as “STAPLES Center,” which is what most of us still call it)
- Hollywood Bowl
- Dignity Health Sports Park (Carson, CA)
- New York City
- Barclays Center (Brooklyn)
- UBS Arena (Elmont)
- Seattle, WA
- Climate Pledge Arena
- London, UK, Metro Area
- The O2 Arena
- OVO Arena Wembley (Wembley)
Final Approach
It appears most (if not all) American Express card holders received an Amex Offer for statement credits at a handful of arenas and stadiums in the United States and UK. Here’s hoping Amex adds more venues to the Collection while the promotion is in effect!
