I spent most of last week working on creative spending to rack up a bunch more points as my point accounts have seriously dwindled after a number of new bookings I am really excited about. I have to tell you I was honestly pleasantly surprised with my second ever Carnival cruise and getting a 14 day crossing almost free was sweet. Take a look at the overview of how I did this.
Speaking of Carnival, our ship arrived in Port Canaveral and while we were waiting for our ride to the airport it was very interesting to watch a very happy drug sniffing dog alert on bag after bag from guests who were about to board the Glory.
ThatGuy (onboard) has a great post this week about the in’s and out’s of security folks onboard your cruise ship. For example, do they carry guns or other weapons? Just what training do these officers have?
I seem to be all about Carnival this week but one of the reasons is that they have just announced that all of the lines under Carnival Corporation now have upgraded to Starlink fast internet for their ships. What about other cruise lines? It is just a matter of time till all major lines are upgraded.
Chris is back this week with a focus on Capital One for us Frequent Floaters and what cards in their portfolio are best for those of us who love to spend our time at sea.
Now that summer is at least here in the South Bend Indiana area, my weekend is going to be a “chill” one enjoying my back patio grilling and watching the PGA Championship. But I may find time to tweak some of my flights for my next cruise because it is always fun to see what better choices I can make and find! – René
