Did you hear that pop culture icon Taylor Swift is dating NFL star tight end Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs?

WHAT?!  😉

Ms. TayTay has shown up at two of Mr. Kelce’s games. (Many people breathlessly await this Sunday’s Chiefs vs. Minnesota Vikings contest to see if she attends that game at US Bank Stadium. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is practically begging her to be there.)

Not surprisingly, Chiefs game broadcasts often cut to images of Ms. Swift in a stadium suite. And she’s been good for NFL (and Kelce) business:

Travis Kelce has had a busy 24 hours:

• 7 catches for 69 yards and a TD
• Gained 300,000+ social media followers
• +400% increase in merchandise sales
• Top 5 selling jersey in the NFL

Jeff Darlington (an NFL reporter for ESPN) was in a Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) airport last weekend covering the Bills vs. Miami Dolphins game.

Unfortunately, his flight was delayed. Like many good journalists, Mr. Darlington visited his natural go-to: the bar.

Naturally, it was there he encountered several other travelers.

And that’s when things got interesting.

He and his fellow passengers decided to play a game: drink a shot whenever Taylor Swift was shown on television during the live broadcast of the Chiefs at the New York Jets game on Sunday Night Football. (The thought of that makes even my liver hurt.)

Delayed out of Buffalo’s airport, but we’re making the most of it. We’re drinking for every time they show Taylor Swift — and I’m buying shots for the bar every 5th time they show her. Let’s go! pic.twitter.com/Ws3b6niz9Q

Imagine that expense report. It seems like that was quite the party.

Waiting for my flight watching the SNF game on my phone. Bills & Fins fans in the bar are cheering and it’s not matching up with scores or good plays…got up to use the bathroom…

They are cheering obnoxiously every time they show Taylor Swift

But did things get out of hand?

Annnd we’re delayed again because a guy puked when he boarded the plane. Not kidding. My bad? https://t.co/KbS30o3wtW

Now, there’s no concrete proof that the gentleman vomited as a result of the TSwift drinking game. Maybe he ate some bad food. Perhaps he had a stomach virus. Maybe he’s just a Miami Dolphins fan.

Airport bar and club lounge employees (even worse) beware: this might be coming to your place of work.

I’m not a Swifty by any stretch of the imagination; however, I will use any excuse to drink I can! Excellent idea!

Between commercials with Kelsey or Swift in them, plus cut aways to the press box, the NFL will have to add a fifth quarter to get the whole game on TV.
